A lot has been said over recent weeks about mobile broadband dongle usage and a lot needs cleared up here. Well, the argument I was coming across often was, is a dongle with 3GB enough for the average Joe? My answer was always no and as a webmaster I continued to keep my landline broadband active!
The networks are all chasing the dongle market like the handsets market. The Three Network just threw a big spanner into everyone’s marketing on line and offline in recent weeks by slashing 50% of the price of their top 15GB dongle!
Well to say my jaw hit the floor was an understatement when I seen 15GB with 15% of it at only £15 per month. I have always wanted to get a dongle for the obvious reasons, none more so that the flexibility it gives. However, as mentioned earlier in this post, simply it would have been an impossible task for me to keep within a 3GB range with my monthy usage, so simply I didn’t invest in mobile broadband.
This was untill 2 weeks ago, I now got myself the 15GB Dongle along with a plug in wireless modem, so up to 5 people can now share this connection!! I have created a price comparision page for different mobile dongle options on my main site. This just shows the different options from all the networks, some even have free laptops! Perhaps if its time for a new laptop a combo of dongle broadband and a free laptop is your answer! its sure worth a look.
Now lets look into the dongle tecnology in more detail. Here we will cover the following.
