Ever since the release of the iPhone, many manufacturers have been trying hard to come up with handsets that can compete with it. One such manufacturer is HTC. The company has recently released its latest Android phone, the HTC Magic and many people have been comparing it to the iPhone.

htc-magicSo what makes the HTC Magic great? For one, it’s a whole lot better than HTC’s previous Android phone, the T-Mobile G1. Because the slide-out QWERTY keyboard was removed, the HTC Magic looks slimmer than the T-Mobile G1. This means that it is also lighter. This may be a problem to some people as some might feel uncomfortable with a device that is too light. Since the keyboard has been removed, this device sports soft keys on the display. Some people may also find this inconvenient but this is something that you can get used to sooner than you think. Beside, the vibrate feedback for every key that you press is helpful.

The looks alone may have prompted people to compare the HTC Magic to the iPhone but this device’s capacitative TFT display is also similar to that of the iPhone. It is much more responsive than the usual touchscreen displays. This is a great feature because touchscreen phones that have sluggish user interface is just annoying.

But the HTC Magic falls short on the camera department. It has a basic 3.2 MP camera with no flash. Photos and videos are of average quality. Still, these should not stop you from purchasing and having a ball with this Android phone. It’s one of the top Android phones in the market today, for sure.
